Orion and his sister celebrate their 2nd Bday

Im pissed... So Im changing myself..Lets clean our beaches from toxic bullshit!!!

The beaches on Maui are among the most pristine and beautiful places in the world!However, its slowly changing, into a cigarette butt littered ashtray. Its almost impossible to look at your feet in the sand without seeing a few cig. butts around your toes..

My anger was extraordinary, and I found myself looking around at who is smoking on the beach. I was expecting purely tourists, but its almost a majority of all the people on the beach. You can smell the smoke in the air, and see the white sticks dangling out of local and tourists mouths alike... At first I wanted to just go postal on these dumb shit motherfuckers...Then I realized If Im just going to walk past all these butts and just be pissed, then I am just part of the problem too.

A small 10 minute effort on my part while walking to my car from the beach harvested a few dozen butts. I realized I alone could contribute to a positive change instead of just spewing and vexing and doing nothing!!

People looked at me like I was a crazy person picking up butts in the sand. I wanted to crush them! Who are these incredible idiots and why can't they see whats going on?

Now each time I goto the beach I make a deposit at the garbage cans. It made me want to get a colander and put it on a stick to really sift through the sand and get the other butts I found deep in the grains. Marine life suffers greatly from this intense criminal activity!!! Not to mention the 2nd hand smoke you can smell while soaking in the sun is downright genocide!

HEY, IF YOU ARE SMOKER OR JUST A BEACH ENTHUSIAST, GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR AND HELP OUT OUR BEACHES BY PICKING UP SOME OF THESE BUTTS!!!!!
IF EVERYONE MADE A CONTRIBUTION IN THIS WAY THERE WOULD BE NO BUTTS.
Next time you see someone toss there cig into the sand... Go pick it up and tell them they suck!

Trip to the beach

Ok, I admit it, I havent been doing much of anything other then work and hanging with my new best friend "Orion" We have been going to the beach everyday, and I thought it was time to take some more photos of my homie....
He is enormously intelligent and learns fast. I am trying to teach him to trust, love and respect me. The trust and love is already there... Now its time for the respect! I am in no hurry. I work with him patiently while trying to remain "calm and assertive" :)
One thing is for sure, he is strong willed and physically able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound. Its so much fun trying to keep up with him!Ah, the Sun beaming its rays deep into the heavens. A serenade to the stars as viewed from Baldwin beach with Orion. Im preparing for an intense binge of music, videos and photo blog posts and podcasts... Thanx to everyone who is so responsive and thoughtful with their comments! ALOHA
